New Georgia Cosmetology CE Submission Process

New Georgia Cosmetology CE Submission Process

New Georgia Cosmetology CE Submission Process — How to Submit Your CE Certificates to CE Broker (Effective January 1, 2026)

Attention Georgia Cosmetologists!  Beginning January 1, 2026, the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers requires all licensed cosmetologists to submit proof of continuing education (CE) directly into CE Broker®, the official continuing education tracking system used by the State of Georgia. This is a new requirement for license renewal and compliance — and it’s important you understand exactly how the process works so your license stays active and valid.

Why This Change Matters

In the past, Georgia cosmetologists could complete CE requirements and simply retain certificates until renewal or audit. **Now you must record and upload each CE certificate in CE Broker as you complete them**. The Board and its designees will **check your CE compliance through CE Broker** during renewals and audits — failure to upload CE could lead to audit action. ([Georgia Secretary of State][1])

Step-by-Step: How to Submit CE to CE Broker

1. Create Your CE Broker Account

  • Go to CE Broker
  • Choose the Georgia license type
  • Register using your Georgia cosmetology license number

You can start with the NO-COST Basic Limited Access Account — this is free and sufficient for reporting CE credits.

>  If you already have a CE Broker account from another state, you can add your Georgia license to your existing profile once the Georgia option is available.

---

2. Record Each CE Activity as You Complete It

Once you complete a continuing education course:

  • Log in to your CE Broker account
  • Click “Report CE”
  • Enter the course title, date completed, and number of hours
  • Upload your certificate of completion

It’s strongly recommended to upload certificates right after you complete courses — don’t wait until renewal time!

---

3. Upload Supporting Documentation

Your CE certificate should include:

* Your full name
* Your Georgia license number
* Course name and date
* Number of CE hours
* Instructor signature (if applicable)

Make sure you attach the certificate file when reporting so your CE hours are officially recorded.

---

4. Track Your CE Compliance

Inside CE Broker you can:

  • See your total CE hours recorded
  • View compliance status and missing hours
  • Prepare ahead of your renewal deadline

CE Broker helps you easily keep track of what you’ve reported.

---

5. Prepare for Possible Board Audits

The Georgia Board may audit your continuing education record at any time. If you haven’t entered all required hours into CE Broker or uploaded supporting documents, you risk audit action. Start uploading CE as early as possible and keep records organized.

 What You Need to Know Before You Renew

When it’s time to renew your cosmetology license:

  • Your CE requirements must already be recorded in CE Broker
  • The Board will check CE compliance electronically
  • If CE is not in CE Broker, your renewal could be delayed or audited
