SOUTH CAROLINA COSMETOLOGY REINSTATEMENT DEADLINE INFO

SOUTH CAROLINA!!! This is an IMPORTANT reminder that every March 10th of even years MANY licenses will go into non-renewable status. Not a good position to be in because this means that a licensee in this position will have to retake the state board exam if they miss this deadline. 

What causes a license to become non-renewable or no longwer able to be reinstated? When a license is expired for 3 years or more, the license is no longer eligible to be renewed and the licensee must retake the state board exam.
This means that any license that expired on March 10, 2023 will become non-renewable on March 11, 2026. This applies to every even year like 2028, 2030 and so on!

I am aware that most of you that are receiving this have an up-to-date license. It's just VERY important that we all understand how the rules and regs work in South Carolina. Many of us can help others with this info. Being reminded of this can make all the difference in the world for someone who is unaware.
